Using Youtube for Traffic

Anybody who uses Youtube regularly for traffic will tell you that there’s nothing like the kind of visitor it provides. Having a Youtube channel is like having another website, working away for you twenty four hours a day gaining loyal followers for your content. When a Youtube visitor finds your video, and enjoy what they find, they will more than likely have a look at your Youtube channel to see if there are any related videos. At this point, if you have done a good job on creating plenty of great content, then they will subscribe to your channel. You now have had the same sort of reaction that your blog would get, the only difference being that they have subscribed to a channel rather than signed up for your newsletter, or bulletin system. You can contact these users whenever you want, and let them know about your other online presences, such as your blog or Twitter profile. If they are enjoying your content, they will go right ahead and sign up/follow.

Amazingly, many people forget to optimize their Youtube videos, and miss out on some great link juice that this provides. By adding your keywords to your title and description, and including a link to your website, you have the opportunity to increase traffic seriously. An important thing to remember, besides optimizing, is to ensure your Youtube videos are branded with your color schemes and logos. You can watermark the video, or simply have a short intro to the content. People buy into branding very quickly, and it can be a vital part of marketing. To ensure you are getting plenty of video views, you need to get your link out there and marketed, just as you would your website. Bookmark and share your video link on as many different social sites as possible, and always remember to include your keywords in your descriptions etc.

Embed Media On Your Website

Embed Media On Your Website

Before YouTube, can you remember how you used to search for videos online? Not many people can. They see YouTube as being the first and most popular video serving website, and it would naturally be the first place you would look, if you were looking for a video of something online. Google genuinely had to acknowledge that YouTube was becoming a superpower on the internet, and in 2006 acquired YouTube to the tune of $1.65billion. With all that said, and with the traction YouTube has now built up, you can safely say that Google, along with the other search engines, gives a lot of credence to video online.

Google is particularly interested in your website if you display multimedia, and even more interested if you have the media rich content that they own. Never more has it been more apparent that including video, images and other media on your website can actually curry favour with the search engines.

Embedding videos is a very simple task, and YouTube encourages it by giving you the opportunity to embed using different sizes and colours on every video they serve. Whatever your niche, you can simply find a video that fits the best, and then embed it on your blog. By adding some notes to the page, that accompany the video, Google sees this as highly relevant, and will strive to send visitors if the rest of your site is just as good. The trick is, do not overdo it. Far too many websites have YouTube videos being blasted to their pages using autoblogging software, and Google knows this.  If you fall into the same trap, then Google will discount this content as being very non-unique, and possibly rank you much lower. Use video as and when you need to, and observe the colour schemes that you have already to integrate the video better. With this in mind, you cannot go wrong.

The Best Sales Pages and Squeeze Pages

The Best Sales Pages and Squeeze Pages

If you have been fortunate enough to be on a top email marketing list from one of the gurus lately, you may have noticed that things have changed with squeeze pages. No longer do you have to scroll through 15 pages of information that leaves your eyes heavy, and there’s no more hype after pitch after hype in big bold letters. The game has changed across the world, and everyone is changing the way they handle squeeze pages and sales pages.

Some time ago, the only way you would be talked into a sale from someone you had never met or seen before is with a long and drawn out sales page. Even if the sales page was short, there was still so much of the same thing going around, that you got bored after 30 seconds. Now, the main players, and the ones who saw the tsunami coming, are using video sales pages to do their work for them.

What video sales pages mean to the average marketer is the opportunity to get a prospect interested in two things at once: you and your product. They instantly feel that they are being spoken to, and they are listening to what you have to say. They don’t need to scroll down the page, everything is above the fold. And that, in all honesty, is the way it should be.

The most simple layouts work. Just a video on one side of the page, and an arrow pointing to an email capture is all that’s needed. And if you are doing your selling right there and then, a big buy it now button is all that is required. You can get across 3000 words in the time it takes to make a cup of coffee, so the viewer genuinely has no problem in sitting there whilst you sell to them.

Whether you are selling your own products, or even affiliate products – these sales pages will return much more than words ever could.
