Sub Niche = Profit

When you try to do too much, you will usually fail. It’s not always your fault, it is just that you might not have access to the best advice from the outset, and that leads you to believe you can create a hundred and one products and services that will solve many problems for people, and actually make more money. If you start by thinking smaller, and try to solve all the smaller problems people face, then you are usually going to have a better result from your chosen niche.

As an example, let us take ebooks that teach how to find niche keywords. This is a very big industry and there are millions of dollars worth of software out there to help people get the best from keywords. If you think about the problems that you have with just one keyword tool, and set about working out how to fix that problem, you could technically offer this out as a product in itself. If you have a keyword tool that gives you the opportunity to search everything you need to know about a keyword or niche, but does not provide data like “which state in America does the keyword get searched most often” then this is a starting block for software. You could get a programmer from Freelance.com to build a fast tool that would take a keyword (found by your regular keyword tools) and deliver the top ten states that are searching for it.

If the tool cost $50 to make, then you could make this back by selling the product to your list at just $5.00 each, or as an ebook and product combo on an internet marketing forum. By going super niche, you are creating a market for the people who have a problem. This is where many people fail – they would try to create a tool that does way too much, and take a long time to build, and therefore would have a higher price tag.

Finding Underpromoted Products

If you are struggling to find a niche on Clickbank or Paydotcom that you can sell on your niche blog, then it is advisable that you have three websites that you regularly subscribe to their RSS feeds. These sites will let you know as soon as a product is launched, and also when a joint venture is being requested by the authors of the products. You may find it very difficult to compete for some keywords relating to Clickbank products, because affiliates are straight away going to be creating sniper sites for page one stardom. Your best bet is getting in either before a product is launched, or on day one of the actual launch itself.

CB Analytics is one of the leading websites that notify you when a product is launched on Clickbank. You can get lots of great information about the gravity of a product etc. so it is well worth signing up and also adding their RSS feed, so you get up to the minute information on new products.

CBEngine is another site in the same style of CB Analytics, and will also allow you to get information on products that re-listed and/or underpromoted. This can offer you some great lead time on getting a ste ranked for that product, and earning some money alongside the big hitters in affiliate marketing.

Another site that deserves a mention is JV Notify Pro, because this site tells you when a product is DUE to be launched. This can often give you up to two months to prepare your sites and marketing. You can also get plenty of sales copy and graphics together in this time. When a product comes up on there, you will of course be amongst hundreds of other people who are already promoting, or actually about to start promoting the same offer – so you must make sure your marketing plan is fast and furious.
